The Awakened Mindset starts and sits within your unique perspective of past, present, and future experiences. Our work together supports building awareness and self-compassion. Mental health challenges can cloud our awareness of how to be successful with regulating our bodies, emotions, thought patterns, and relationships. We learn limitations throughout our lives and miss opportunities to develop skills as youngsters. When those pieces combine, we can feel a bit lost about what direction we came from and where we’re trying to go. Sometimes therapists can inadvertently reinforce that perspective, and focus on diagnostic criteria and an individual's shortcomings. And sometimes, therapists lean too hard into the optimistic reframe and become invalidating. Here at Awakened Mindset, I offer a balance of practical mental health skill development and personal insight so that you can learn to help yourself and feel empowered to manage your mental health.
Therapy alone cannot fix problems, but we can provide support and teach skills to build the life that you want in the way that you want. You have the ability to feel better, more whole, and loved in a world where we often feel behind and unlovable. I know that you can improve your mental health and I’m here to help you to recognize and develop that skillset.
Awakened Mindset uses practices tailored to your needs. It’s a collaboration to uncover skills and strengths that might have been forgotten, and to develop skills that you have not had a chance to learn yet. We increase mental flexibility and space by looking for opportunities of potential. Whether you are impacted by autism, stress, low-mood, worrying, or decreased self-esteem you are not alone. We will develop and practice skills to empower you to live a more awakened and complete life.
